It’s already a tradition in the music tech world that Native Instruments is starting a big sale on Black Friday. This year, however, even bigger than usual and named the Thanksgiving XXL sale. Until 9 December, you can save up to 50% OFF on hardware and software products including full versions, plugins, Kontakt libraries and more. The full version of Komplete 12 is excluded from this sale.

Synth Anatomy is an affiliate partner of Native Instruments, but that does not mean that we want to turn everything on to you, which sounds like a big deal. So, some deals are better than others. So you do not make a mistake if you update/upgrade an older Komplete version to v12. The bundle will not be cheaper in the near future and it is a good price/value factor.

Individual Plugins Vs. Bundle

The situation is different with individual products from the Komplete bundle such as Kontakt 6, Massive X, etc. Here you should be sure that you only need this product otherwise it is not a great deal. It is more advantageous to upgrade directly to Komplete 12 than just buying Kontakt 6 or multiple other products which are also available in the K12 standard version. An upgrade from Komplete Select which included in their Komplete Kontrol S-series and Maschine controllers cost 199.50€, a crossgrade from an audio interface or the A-series controllers 249,50€. But the condition is that you have such a controller.

Save As Not Komplete User

If you are not in the NI Komplete club and do not want to join it, then you can save the best on products that are not in the Komplete standard bundle anyway. For example Straylight, Super 8, Razor, Molekular… which are only available as part of the Ultimate bundle.

Hardware Deals

The Thanksgiving XXL Sale also includes many hardware + software deals. These are especially interesting for musicians who want to buy one of these controllers anyway. For example, the S49 keyboard cost 599€ normally, now you get for 200€ more Komplete 12 on top. The controller is specially designed for this software and so a nice deal.

Even a better deal, in my opinion, is available on the Komplete 6 audio interface. Currently, they offer the K6 interface with Komplete 12 for 478,50€. Outside the sale, the interface alone cost 229€. For 250€ more, you get the K12 bundle that includes Reaktor 6, Kontakt 6, Massive X and more. (34,27% OFF) That’s the price of almost two single plugins. So not a bad deal if you want to upgrade your music production setup.

One thing is for sure not all offers are great deals. For example, the deals with K12 Select are in my opinion not the best deals because they don’t offer the best price/value factor.
